Success!!!!

It has been a busy couple of weeks for Team Canada! Let me recap all that has happened.

First, we have mailed out letters to many of you and you are responding SO generously! I can not say thank you enough for sending money in to support our efforts.

Second, is the hugely successful Yard Sale we had here at Gateway. On April 2nd we had thousands of items, donated by our church family, to sell to the community. We worked hard all week getting these items in & sorted. On the 2nd we arrived at 5 a.m. to set up and had our first customer before opening at 7 a.m. For the next 9 hours or so the team worked hard to sell, sell, sell! Then to clean up and take 3 huge loads of goods to local outreach centers. When the dust settled, we made over $3600 that day for our mission. PRAISE GOD!!!!! What an amazing amount!

Finally, on April 3rd, Team Canada hosted a luncheon and teen auction to highlight our mission trip. During this lunch, which was so tasty, we raised $1200 in a "love offering" from Gateway members. We also raised another $1000 from the teen auction. INCREDIBLE!!! I am astounded by the Love and Gracious giving of Gateway and those who are supporting this work. The lunch was such a success. Big Thanks to Leslie, Nova, Kelley, Charlene, Cathy, Carol (mom), Sylvia, Debbie, Derek, and anyone I am leaving out. (hit me on the head if I forgot to say you, cause I will add you here)

So far our fund raising has been a huge success. We are nearly at our goal.

The trip is quickly coming upon us. Please pray for the hearts of our team and the lives of those we will encounter. Pray that God is working in the hearts of those in Meaford so that when we come bearing His Light they will see Jesus in us.
